- Green Supported Film Handling
Product Description
3M Scotch-Weld Structural Adhesive Film AF 126-3 is a green, toughened epoxy structural adhesive film for bonding prepared metal, composite, and honeycomb assemblies. Its matte nonwoven scrim-supported construction combines low tack for handling with low flow for bondline control during cure. The film can cure at temperatures as low as 82 deg C, supporting lower-temperature processing where the complete assembly permits it. Metal preparation, primer selection, applied pressure, and the full time-and-temperature cure schedule define the complete bonding process.
Key features
- Low Temperature Cure: The film can cure at temperatures as low as 82 deg C.
- Low Flow Bondline Control: Controlled flow helps retain adhesive placement during cure.
- Green Supported Construction: The matte nonwoven scrim provides handling support during layup.
Applications
Structural bonding of prepared metals, composites, and honeycomb sandwich assemblies.
